Beyond what’s almost taken for granted—like running on green electricity or achieving an exceptionally high recycling rate—we offer our customers much, much more than mere statements of intent.
In the heart of East Westphalia-Lippe (Ostwestfalen-Lippe = OWL), our Fair-Made label MAD OWL crafts resource-smart bags and keepers—mostly from upcycled exhibition carpet, a material that, in a typical German trade-fair year, generates some 8.5 million square metres of waste after only brief use.
With MAD OWL, the show truly goes on for these rugs —
thanks to careful cleaning, inspired design ideas and plenty of needle and thread.
Every item is handmade under fair conditions and shipped over short distances, whether to selected retailers around OWL or direct to customers via our web shop at madowl.de.
