Green-PE: Polyethylene made from sugarcane

Plastic made from renewable raw materials: With our Green PE film products, this is a reality. After extensive development work, we now offer you production-ready products made from bio-based polyethylene derived from sugarcane.

What sets Green-PE apart from recycled film:

  • At least 95% of the carbon comes from sugarcane, rather than from petroleum-based recycled material.
  • While recycled foil often appears slightly milky, Green-PE products look just like conventional foils.

What's behind Green-PE

We source the polyethylene for our Green-PE foil from Braskem. It is made from sugarcane ethanol and is chemically identical to conventional PE. So you don’t have to compromise on quality or performance. We extrude the foils in our own production facility. Its bio-based carbon content is at least 95%, as determined by ASTM D6866.
